Plate separators are suitable where the extraction of elongated iron workpieces is required, which are difficult to extract with drum separators.
Electromagnetic separators- EP
In these separators, the electric windings inside the separator generate a static magnetic field when supplied with direct current, which attracts ferromagnetic materials in a direction perpendicular to the working surface of the separators when supplied with current.
Advantages
Very broad spectrum of solutions for size and power.
Relatively low cost.
Broader use than other separation methods.
Permanent magnetic plate- SMP
These separators are composed of a low carbon soft iron circuit and a group of permanent magnets with high induction and coercive force that allow an excellent depth of field. The part in contact with the flow of material, called active face, is in non-magnetic and wear-resistant steel.
These separators can be equipped with two kinds of permanent magnets:
– Ferrite: this magnet generates a deep fieldbut, with the same power, it is more bulkier.
– Rare Earths (Alloy of Neodymium, Iron and Boron): Ideal if you need a magnetic field that crosses a large section or attracts at a great distance.

It significantly reduces consumption and allows savings as it does not require energy.
The magnetic performance remains constant over time since no Joule effect heating is generated.
